Quatro Patas: the book that tells Pituco's true story
184 full-color pages blending memory and fiction to tell how a mixed-breed dog adopted in the pandemic became a comics hero.

Before he was a comics hero, Pituco was a real dog. He was adopted in April 2020 in Marília, Brazil, in the middle of the pandemic. Quatro Patas, a história de Pituco is the book that tells that journey, from the backyard to the year 3121.
Memory and fiction in one story
The book is written by Tiago de Moraes das Chagas, creator of the Radius universe, and co-written by journalist and author Ramon Barbosa Franco. According to the official synopsis, the author weaves real memories with fictional elements to show how the bond between people and animals can bring deep change.
The same synopsis tells readers what to expect: laughter, tears, surprises and goodbyes, in a story that celebrates relationships that go beyond species.
Discover how Pituco changed a life, and inspired a universe.
Official synopsis of Quatro Patas
From real dog to hero
In the pages of Radius, Pituco became an anthropomorphic hero in a dystopian future: agile, loyal and armed with two laser pistols. The symbol on his chest was created from the real dog's paw print.
Pituco died on July 8, 2024, after being run over. His path became a book, and on December 10, 2024 the work was selected in Marília's PNAB cultural grant. The official launch took place on June 14, 2025, at an event that collected 75 kg of pet food for the NGO Amor Animal.
