Pitucão: the mascot that took Pituco back to the streets of Marília
Born on a podcast and funded by a community campaign, Pituco's wearable mascot has already marched in the city's anniversary parade.

Pituco became a comic, a book and a traffic campaign. What was missing was a way for him to hug people. That is what Pitucão is for: a wearable mascot, the kind someone puts on, made to show up at events, schools and campaigns in Marília.
An idea born at the microphone
The story starts during a recording of Biscoitando Cast, a podcast hosted by Danilo and Wellington. Tiago de Moraes das Chagas, creator of the Radius universe, presented the project on the show, and the two embraced the idea on the spot. The official page sums up the feeling: Marília deserves to have Pituco present on its streets.
How it got off the ground
The professional making of the mascot was budgeted at R$ 8,000.00. The amount came from supporters joining in, spontaneous contributions and direct investment by Tiago himself. The campaign is now closed and the mascot has been delivered to the city.
The project page makes a point of recording how transparent the process was: a production schedule followed publicly and a contract documented with an invoice. Pitucão is treated as a community asset, available for social, educational and cultural actions.
The debut on the avenue

On April 4, 2026, Pitucão marched down Sampaio Vidal avenue, in the civic parade for Marília's 97th anniversary. He walked next to Tiago, in the section of the Municipal Department of Culture.
Where he can show up
- City hall events and schools
- Pet events, fairs and responsible adoption campaigns
- Civic parades and sports actions
- Conventions, corporate events and local shops
According to the page, Pituco's physical presence aims for more people joining adoption campaigns, more attention to animal welfare issues and more closeness with children, schools and families. Anyone who wants to bring the mascot to an event will find the contact on Pitucão's page.
